“Flashback? What’s that?” If you were not born in the 80’s or 90’s then you don’t know this game. It was originally released for the Amiga in 1992. Most people know Flashback as a Genesis and/or Super Nintendo game. Paul Cuisset is working alongside Microids to develop Flashback 2. If you want to see how Flashback was, it was ported to many CD, and higher-end consoles with better effects, full-motion sequences. Today, you can find it on Nintendo Switch’s eShop, PlayStation Store, and Windows as Flashback: Remastered Edition.

There is an extended look, but it has a little bit of commentary from Glen Schofield. I’m not sure if you want that, or just pure gameplay…

    Name: Layers of Fears
    Release Date: TBA 2023
    Genre: Survival Action/Adventure
    Developer: Bloober Team
    Publisher: Bloober Team

Layers of Fears is a collection of remakes of Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear 2, and Layers of Fear: Inheritance, being recreated in Unreal Engine 5. However, Bloober Team does not mark it as a remaster or a remake, but retooled as a new game, since it features some extra content. “Our plan was to recreate the games, but we didn’t want to make it a simple collection of two remastered games,” Piotr Babieno said to Gamespot, he continued: “We’ve worked out a new approach, something that is maybe not yet obvious. But I can tell you there’s a reason why we called it Layers of Fears.”

Name: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
    Release Date: June 16, 2022
    Genre: Beat ’em Up
    Developer: Tribute Games
    Publisher: DotEmu

The biggest showcase from Summer Game Fest is TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Many people were already hyped, and anticipating Shredder’s Revenge, all that it required was a release date. If you were a fan of the original TMNT arcade game(s) from the 80’s and 90’s, Shredder’s Revenge is right up your alley.

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Gameplay Revealed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Gameplay Revealed

Since the teaser reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Infinity Ward dripped soft marketing strategies in the build up to the world reveal. Infinity Ward said “Stay Frosty” in a snarky, tongue-in-cheek way to say “stand by.” Infinity Ward released more teasers. Recently, in a Worldwide Reveal livestream, Infinity Ward released the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II World Reveal Trailer to YouTube. Today, at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2022 livestream, Infinity Ward showed off new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II campaign gameplay and it takes place in a mission called “Dark Water.”

  • Nintendo brings a blockbuster E32021

    Nintendo brings a blockbuster E32021

After the slow kickoff by Geoff Keighley, and lukewarm E3 presentations done by a few companies, like Gearbox, and Ubisoft, the only silver lining so far was Microsoft with their “game announcements, after game announcements” presentation in a joint conference with Bethesda. Well, it seems that trend continues with Square Enix and Capcom. Today, Nintendo held their own livestream in the form of a major Nintendo Direct, and it was a livestream full of blockbuster announcements…

It starts off with an update to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and has highs and lows until Metroid Dread was announced. A new Mario Party game was announced, a new Life is Strange game was announced, a new Super Monkey Ball game was announced, they also announced two Advanced Wars remakes coming to Nintendo Switch. They closed out the show with release dates for Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild “2.” Skyward Sword is coming out on July 16, 2021. Breath of the Wild 2 (probably working title) is penciled and aiming for a 2022 release window.

  • Battlefield 2042 Multiplayer revealed

    Battlefield 2042 Multiplayer revealed

Before E32021 kicked off, Electronic Arts and DICE unveiled their next Battlefield title: Battlefield 2042. The critical reception of the reveal trailer were mostly positive, that DICE has a momentum to jump off of. The next subject they wanted to know about – is there gameplay? How is the game like? Is multiplayer alive and well? All of it was answered during the joint conference by Microsoft and Bethesda.

DICE did a livestream going in-depth with Battlefield 2042. Oskar Gabrielson, Daniel Berlin, and other DICE team members joined the livestream to talk about the game…

Battlefield 2042 is scheduled to be released for Current Gen, and Next Gen consoles and PC on October 22, 2021.

  • Square Enix and Capcom had poor E3 showings

Square Enix and Capcom had poor E3 showings

After the slow kickoff by Geoff Keighley, and lukewarm E3 presentations done by a few companies, like Gearbox, and Ubisoft, the only silver lining so far was Microsoft with their “game announcements, after game announcements” presentation in a joint conference with Bethesda. Well, it seems that trend continues with Square Enix. Their livestream in a recap is full of Mobile game announcements, and some of them are DLC’s for games we already have available now….

Capcom sort-of followed suit, except there’s at least one game announcement that is at least “new.” The first announcement was a spin-off of Monster Hunter – the new game is called “Monster Hunter Stories 2.” For those of you who is not familiar with Monster Hunter Stories, it originally released for Nintendo 3DS, iOS, and Android. Monster Hunter Stories 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch, and PC. The next announcement is The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which is a game that has never been released outside of Japan, until now. It’s being released for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s available for Nintendo 3DS, iOS, and Android, if you can find it….

    Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer revealed

Microsoft and Bethesda recently hosted a joint livestream. During that livestream, Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer was revealed with new information. Halo Infinite Campaign and Halo Infinite Multiplayer is separate. They both have a specific name to each physical game. I’m guessing you’ll need to pay the typical $60 for Halo Infinite (which has campaign, and multiplayer), and if you opt to not buy Halo Infinite, you can download Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, which was announced to be a “free to play” download. If you missed the livestream, and the multiplayer reveal, here it is…

Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X are both available now, but Halo Infinite is set to be released Holiday 2021. To learn more about Halo Infinite, you can check out the Halo Waypoint.

They released new updates for games already announced, along with stealth, sneaky surprises, like a sequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Hades is coming to Xbox, Age of Empires 4 is coming to Xbox, Flight Simulator is coming to Xbox, and more. • UbiSoft put “Forward” a sneaky surprise or two

UbiSoft put “Forward” a sneaky surprise or two

It has been a while since Ubisoft last did a livestream for any one of their games. Their last big release (or shall I say, sleeper smash hit) was Immortals Fenyx Rising, which was released for every imaginable platform on the market today: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch consoles, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Their big release(s) were also Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and Watch Dogs: Legion. Well, Ubisoft is back with a new Ubisoft Forward livestream…

The livestream starts off slow, but picks up at the end of the livestream, where they revealed two blockbusters: A sequel to Mario + Rabbids, that originally released on Nintendo Switch. It was a collaborative game between Ubisoft and Shigeru Miyamoto. The second game reveal was deemed as a tech demo for Massive Entertainment’s new version of the SnowDrop engine, which debuted as “The Division” game. The new footage wasn’t a game announcement for a new “The Division” game, but instead an “Avatar” game. Avatar was a film released in 2009 by James Cameron. The new Avatar demo was revealed as an actual game… “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.”

  • Gearbox Entertainment’s E3 Livestream was lukewarm

Gearbox Entertainment’s E3 Livestream was lukewarm

It has been a while since Gearbox Softworks (or Gearbox Entertainment, as they’re referring themselves as) has announced anything about their games. Their last major release was Godfall for PS5, and before that, it was Borderlands 3. Geoff Keighley kicked off E3 2021 via his newly formed Summer Game Fest annual events. As of right now, E32021 is on-going, and will continue to progress in the following days. Here is Gearbox’s E32021 livestream…
