It has been a while since Ubisoft last did a livestream for any one of their games. Their last big release (or shall I say, sleeper smash hit) was Immortals Fenyx Rising, which was released for every imaginable platform on the market today: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch consoles, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Their big release(s) were also Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and Watch Dogs: Legion. Well, Ubisoft is back with a new Ubisoft Forward livestream…
The livestream starts off slow, but picks up at the end of the livestream, where they revealed two blockbusters: A sequel to Mario + Rabbids, that originally released on Nintendo Switch. It was a collaborative game between Ubisoft and Shigeru Miyamoto. The second game reveal was deemed as a tech demo for Massive Entertainment’s new version of the SnowDrop engine, which debuted as “The Division” game. The new footage wasn’t a game announcement for a new “The Division” game, but instead an “Avatar” game. Avatar was a film released in 2009 by James Cameron. The new Avatar demo was revealed as an actual game… “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.”
