  • New God of War III trailer leaked!

New God of War III trailer leaked!

I am liking the early build of GOW3 so far, but not everyone (ahem; neogaf, I’m looking at you!) likes it – they went even further by saying its embarrassing. WTF? Um. Excuse me nerds, but that trailer looks smooth in motion – at least the way I see it. I don’t care about no stinkin’ physics – let them design that beautiful masterpiece that we’ve all come to love about the series.

Give me brutality, action, and pure intensity….All I am saying is, as long as the game plays smoothly, responsively, and it in fact feels right…You have money from day one.

  • Introducing two new Modern Warfare 2 sites!

Introducing two new Modern Warfare 2 sites!

I’ve been thinking long and hard, trying to figure out what name, or which domain name I should use for the next call of duty website….So, I started to talk to a few people including d3adcell…I couldn’t find answers. I let it go for a while, until recently, FourZeroTwo has been teasing on his twitter, that the official name for COD6 is COD: Modern Warfare 2, fast forward to right now. GDC is ongoing right now, and Activision bought the domain name registrant rights to www.modernwarfare2.com – I thought to myself “Hm. Hmmmmm….” and started searching the namecheap database for possible names…Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to…..

    www.mw2forums.com and www.mw2boards.com

Both names are inspired by iEntry’s two tld’s www.cod4boards.com and www.cod4forums.com

And lets not forget the teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 2!

  • CryTek acquires Free Radical

    CryTek acquires Free Radical

Crytek has acquired the business assets of the developers behind TimeSplitters, and the highly hyped PS3 exclusive, Haze,  Free Radical Design.

Their press release is excerpt below:

Crytek GmbH (“Crytek”) announced today that it has acquired all assets and business of Free Radical Design Limited (“Free Radical”). Free Radical is based in Nottingham, United Kingdom and is known for the multi-award winning Timesplitters series. The studio will now be integrated into Crytek’s network.

Avni Yerli, Managing Director of Crytek, said, “We’re very excited about this step to expand Crytek into the UK with such an experienced and highly talented team. Free Radical Design is a great fit to Crytek and its culture, given that Free Radical has a proven track record on delivering high quality games. The combination of this team, the Crytek network and our CryENGINE technology will be a foundation for outstanding gaming experiences and a magnet for the best talent in the UK.”

I hope this means that Crytek has the rights to the TimeSplitters brand, and I also hope that TS4 gets completed under the Crytek umbrella.

    Carlos360 blog fixed

My sharing button was a bit buggy when I installed it, so I recently removed it, and replaced it with a more popular sharing button. The other thing is that Vimeo removed my videos because they were video-game related. I have replaced them with MySpace videos.

    More features coming soon.

    COD4 PS3: Killer 30 – 7 match

Please excuse the sounds as they’re muffled, and the camera quality sucks, so I end up sounding different. But the match is one of the best matches I’ve had the privilege of playing. Excellent Match. I hit a few hitches along the way, but I still came out on top.

This video is a series of Killer Prestige Videos, that was inspired by one of my videos called “Killer Master Video” for Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

    COD4: From Zero to 30k

I begun my journey through COD4 like a champ.

The first prestige seems small compared to the next video….

    Before & After #1 – COD4 PS3

The second one is a small update, still in my first prestige…

    Before & After #2 – COD4 PS3

The next one is in my second prestige, still growing…

    Before & After #3 – COD4 PS3

And now, the equilibrium sees me achieving a few things; 30k kills, some challenges completed that was never completed before. And better stats. I am now into the 4th prestige.

  • Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe Review

Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe Review

So, things start coming together, when I posted more and more reviews, and previews. The first I am going to share is MK vs DC Universe that was released in stores recently. I recently reviewed the game.

I hope Midway survives the financial crisis going on right now; long enough to see the true next generation Mortal Kombat.

  • MK vs DC Universe is in stores!

MK vs DC Universe is in stores!

Midway Games Inc., a leading interactive entertainment publisher and developer, today announced that Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe has arrived on store shelves throughout North America and is available for purchase for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. The standard edition is available for a U.S. suggested retail price of $59.95, and the Kollector’s Edition is available for a U.S. suggested retail price of $69.95. Cultural icons collide for gamers and comic book fans alike as the eagerly anticipated face-off between heroes, anti-heroes, villains and vigilantes is unleashed in unmistakable Mortal Kombat style.

Some of the most popular characters from the DC Universe, like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Joker, go toe-to-toe against Mortal Kombat favorites, including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Sonya and more. Featuring a brand new fighting system and unique intertwining storyline written by top comics writing team Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe combines spectacular multi-tiered fighting environments, such as Metropolis or the Batcave, with a compelling line-up of fighters to challenge and master.

“Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe brings together iconic characters from both the DC Comics’ and Mortal Kombat videogame universes to give gamers the opportunity to take part in extraordinary battles,” said Scott Johnson, vice president, business development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Working with Midway, we are allowing fans to control the destiny of famous heroes and villains with enhanced graphics and combat.”

“Midway is proud to have been able to work so closely with the artists and visionaries at DC Comics to bring you a unique fighting experience that stays true to the hallmarks of the Mortal Kombat franchise,” said Matt Booty, president and CEO, Midway. “With the broad market potential afforded by the T-Rating, the engaging story mode, the critical acclaim we are already seeing from reviewers, and enthusiastic support of the fans from both franchises, we expect this to be one of our most successful Mortal Kombat games.”

Although this is the first Mortal Kombat title to be given a “T” rating by the ESRB, the game embodies all the qualities that made the franchise such an integral part of gaming culture, including the ability to perform the unique Fatalities and Heroic Brutalities that are a signature of the Mortal Kombat series. The title also features a re-vamped fighting system that harkens back to the wildly successful early Mortal Kombat games.

The special, limited-run North American Kollector’s Edition is delivered in special packaging and features an exclusive removable print designed by Alex Ross, one of the world’s most pre-eminent and respected comic book artists, as well as bonus video content and a 16-page comic book by DC Comics that chronicles the shocking, universe-shattering events that lead up to the in-game story mode.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and is available for the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. For more information please visit www.worldscollide.com.
