    Crytek announces Crysis Remastered Livestream

For those of you who are not familiar to Crysis. It was a first person shooter that was released for PC in 2007, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2011. The next question is going to be: “Can my hardware run Crysis?” Because Crysis in 2007 needed a pretty beefy PC to run Crysis (1), yes, I said the original Crysis. Both the PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game had to be coded to work on the system(s), and when it did work… it was chugging along. The game was graphics heavy. So heavy, that you’d find framerate drops in between shots, special effects, and whatnot. The PC version was using CryEngine 2, while the PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 versions were using CryEngine 3. Crysis Remastered will be released in the Summer, and will be using the new CryEngine update.

On April 16th, CryTek announced, and teased Crysis Remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Today, CryTek announced that their gameplay reveal is going to take place on July 1, 2020. Here’s the livestream if you’re looking to be reminded of the event…

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 announced

He worked on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was released in 2019 after a bumpy crowdfunded project, alongside a smaller project known as Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon as part of its stretch goal. • Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time revealed

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time revealed

It’s been a while since Crash Bandicoot: Warped was released for the original PlayStation. Crash Bandicoot was born out of Naughty Dog, and Sony. The rule of thumb at the time of the release of the original Crash Bandicoot, was that if you are a platform holder, and you want a foothold in the industry… You’d need a mascot to help be the flagship brand to carry your console to the next generation. But “PlayStation” had more than one sort-of “mascot.” Instead, Crash Bandicoot was wildly successful that it spawned a few sequels before being sold off to Vivendi Games, then later sold to Activision.

So, it’s been 22 years since a mainline Crash game was released (Crash Bandicoot: Warped), and 10 years since Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2. Activision finally revealed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, after a successful remaster (Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy), and a somewhat decent spin-off (Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled). There’s also a Mobile game, but I doubt it will receive the same “love” from fans, that the full game usually does.

Activision took to their blog to announce Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Crash Bandicoot 4 is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X on October 2, 2020…

  • Electronic Arts hosts a lukewarm EA Play Live event

Electronic Arts hosts a lukewarm EA Play Live event

Last December, Xbox Series X was revealed during The Game Awards 2019 event. On June 11th, PlayStation 5 was revealed. Electronic Arts planned their EA Play Live event, and fans were excited. There’s just one problem with EA Play 2020: 90% of the event was current generation announcements. And only 5% to 10% of it was a montage reel of teases for their Next Generation projects…

What was shown during the event? Well, Electronic Arts kicked off the event in “San Francisco, California” (Their World Headquarters is actually in Redwood Shores in Redwood City, California.)
