Last December, Xbox Series X was revealed during The Game Awards 2019 event. On June 11th, PlayStation 5 was revealed. Electronic Arts planned their EA Play Live event, and fans were excited. There’s just one problem with EA Play 2020: 90% of the event was current generation announcements. And only 5% to 10% of it was a montage reel of teases for their Next Generation projects…
What was shown during the event? Well, Electronic Arts kicked off the event in “San Francisco, California” (Their World Headquarters is actually in Redwood Shores in Redwood City, California.)
- Respawn Entertainment reveals Apex Legends Season 5
- Respawn announces Apex Legends goes cross-play
- The Sims 4 is available on Steam now
- It Takes Two
- Lost in Random
- Rocket Arena
- Star Wars: Squadrons
- Madden 21
- FIFA 21
- A montage reel of Next Gen teases
- The event is closed off by Skate 4 announcement
I don’t know, man. That was a very weak showing by Electronic Arts. Likewise, most people thought the livestream was very weak.
