    UbiSoft reveals Ghost Recon Breakpoint

This morning, during a livestream, Ubisoft unveiled Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. This is an entirely new game in the Ghost Recon franchise, and has nothing to do with the poorly received Wildlands. The first thing that Ubisoft did out of the gate was tease story, features, and gameplay. They eventually dropped the official trailer for the game…

As they progressed through the livestream, they also showed off gameplay for Ghost Recon Breakpoint…

They also talked about gameplay at the same time. The game is still an open world title with new combat features…

    • You can pick up your comrades, and your enemies to take them to a specific location.
    • You can Co-Op with a friend, buddy or stranger in the world of Breakpoint.
    • There’s an injury system. You can heal up your comrades.
    • There’s a camp called “The Bivouac,” which acts as your resting place for you and your ghost comrades.
    • You can blend into the environment with a combination of your customized characters, and body movements (you can go prone).
    • The enemy’s AI is very advanced, according to Ubisoft.
    • Each weapon has a progression system, and will help you navigate the world of Breakpoint,

If you’d like to learn more, the official website for Breakpoint is here. Ubisoft also unveiled a DLC season, with a roadmap to boot.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will arrive on retail shelves October 4, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

May 9th Livestream for a new Ghost Recon title

UbiSoft stealth unveiled a new livestream, possibly not related to Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The way the announcement is being teased, is a new Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon game. The teaser site is pointing to an organization as the villains for the game – and most likely the new sub-franchise for the new series.

The teaser site is promoting and advertising the livestream to be hosted on May 9, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. PT…

To coincide with the announcement, Ubisoft set up a reminder for the livestream on YouTube…

More information will be posted right here on DestroyRepeat.com on May 9, 2019 with the trailer itself. I will keep an eye out for screenshots, news, and trailer(s) as they are posted. Stay tuned.

The Ghost goes Recon in Future Solider!

UbiSoft has been quite quiet about their recent trademark filing of “Future Soldier” but today Ubisoft announced that not only the trademark was in fact, for a Ghost Recon story. It also takes the series much further than Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2; we do not know which year, or when. What, we DO know is that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP.

UbiSoft CEO Yves Guillermot said that the Wii, DS, and PSP versions of the game will be developed by a different team. She also specifically said that the Wii version will be developed with the console’s owners in mind.

UbiSoft also released a teaser trailer for the game:

Here’s what we know so far from the trailer:

    – It is an installment in the series, the latest.
    – “The soldier of the future is an F-16 on legs.” A quote by U.S. Army Natick Research and Development Engineer Jean-Louis DeGay
    – The game will “go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience.”
    – Those planning to pick up Splinter Cell: Conviction in a couple of months will gain access to the multiplayer beta coming this summer.
    – The game looks to take place in the middle east, and more specifically Russia and Afghanistan.
    – “The future of war” begins Fall 2010.
