It has been a while since Ubisoft last did a livestream for any one of their games. After E3 2021 wrapped up and gone by, Ubisoft hosted a new livestream on Jul 19, 2021. That livestream was for a un-named Tom Clancy game, the title of the new Tom Clancy game was revealed as “Tom Clancy’s XDefiant.” What is XDefiant, you ask? It’s a tactical-style first person shooter where your team of 4 goes up against another team of 4. Ubisoft describes XDefiant as “a free-to-play, fast-paced arena shooter that combines intense gunplay with personalised loadouts and specialised factions, as teams of gunfighters – called Defiants – battle for domination.” The official trailer is embedded below…
The game has been in a closed “test” since August 5, 2021 – it was for YouTubers for a while to collect feedback, ideas, constructive criticism, and other community comments. It is currently closed to United States and Canada, you can register here to get your hands on the game and learn the hoopla around XDefiant. There isn’t a definitive release date for Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, but it’s scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
