Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has a different single player campaign this time around. Up until now, Call of Duty games have had a linear campaign mode. Linear as in, going from A to B, with a little bit of “choices.” Choices is going to be a major theme in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, because Modern Warfare III is more or less an “Open World” game, with a new innovation known as “Open Combat Missions.” You already know what an “Open World” game is, it’s a mode where you’re freely able to move around in an open environment, a “world.” On this canvas, you’re able to go from A to B in one mission, and A to B in another mission without a single player menu that drops you into a linear storyline.
