Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has claimed to be a new engine. Infinity Ward claims that the engine is unified across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and the new Call of Duty: Warzone (a.k.a. “Warzone 2.”) Warzone 2 is scheduled to be released later in 2022. The new Ricochet Anti-Cheat system returns with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2. Infinity Ward also announced a Vault Edition for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The Vault Edition features the Cross-Gen version of Modern Warfare 2, a Red Team 141 Operator Pack, FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, Open Beta Early Access to Modern Warfare II, Season 1 Battle Pass and 50 Tier Skips. It also features Ghost Legacy Pack which includes 10 Weapon Blueprints, and 12 Operator Skins, which is a pre-order bonus.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC via Battle.net and Steam on October 28, 2022.
