    Accessing the DLC Packs in Black Ops 3 Differ to Previous Games

    The way DLC packs are obtained in Black Ops 3 will differ to previous titles in the series according to a new support post by Activision.

    The Awakening DLC pack for Black Ops 3 will be bundled into a patch that is being released on 02/02/2016. The patch will be released at midday Pacific time on 02/02/2016 for PS4 users. This differs to previous titles by having to go into the console store and downloading the content as additional content.

    How to install Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC

    Launch Call of Duty: Black Ops III to trigger the patch and allow the game to update as normal. Once the update is fully downloaded, Season Pass owners and players who have purchased the Awakening DLC pack individually will simply need to activate the content through the in-game store.

    1. Select Store from the main menu.
    2. Select Map Packs.
    3. Select Awakening DLC to activate the DLC pack.

    Once Awakening is activated, players have immediate access to the four new multiplayer maps as well as the first chapter of the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies adventure.

    Awakening DLC Maps:

    Gauntlet – Set in a military training environment with a snowy lane, jungle lane and urban lane.

    Splash – Set in an abandoned water theme park. The paths include using slides to move around and underwater combat.

    Rise – Set in a construction facility the developers describe it as a classic Call of Duty map that includes a lot of cover to cover based combat.

    Skyjacked – Fast paced remake of Hijacked from Black Ops 2 that includes new options to make use of movement mechanics.

    Back at the beginning of December we reported a screenshot taken from the PS Store indicating that Nuk3town would become available to everyone on January 26th.

    From December article:

    Sony have updated the Nuk3townBonus Map item in the PlayStation store to include a new release date of January 26th 2016. The item no longer mentions that it was a pre-order exclusive – so expect everyone to be causing carnage on this map soon.

    January 26th has been and gone with still no sign of the map being available. Activision has confirmed through Reddit that this was user error and that there is no plans on releasing the map to everyone stating it was a pre-order exclusive only.

    Unfortunately this was an error. The Nuk3town map was a pre-order incentive only. Apologies for any confusion. MG

    The NUK3TOWN map was a Pre-Order /Day One purchase exclusive from participating retailers. We do not have information regarding future availability. AR

    If you did not pre-order Black Ops 3 it is unlikely you will ever see Nuk3town come your way.

    Treyarch have released a new game update (43.15.54.5) for Xbox One and Playstation 4.

    43.15.54.5 update fixes some known Zombies bugs:

    • Fixes issue where players were kicked whilst playing 4 player split screen
    • Fixes issue where Keepers would get stuck
    • Collision fixes
