    Black Ops 3 Cast Announced

    Activision has assembled another team of recognizable names to lend their voices and faces to the latest Call of Duty.

    In addition to the already revealed Zombies mode cast, EW can exclusively reveal the voice actors for Black Ops III’s campaign mode. As glimpsed in the story mode trailer earlier this week, Christopher Meloni will indeed be in the game playing John Taylor. The Law & Order: SVU actor’s character is a Special Forces Commander veteran who can easily gain the loyalty and trust of those around him, though as the story mode trailer indicates his more nefarious role, this may not always be a good trait for Taylor to have.

    In addition to Meloni, Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff joins the cast as Sarah Hall. Hall was at the top of her class on her aptitutde tests, which caused her to be chosen for Special Forces training.

    Also among the cast is Stargate SG-1 and Once Upon a Time’s Tony Amendola as Dr. Yousef Salim, Days of Our Lives’ Sean Douglas as Jacob Hendricks, The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives‘ Rachel Kimsey as Rachel Kane, while Farscape and Stargate star Ben Browder and The Unit’s Abby Brammell are also among the voice cast.

    These actors will lend their voices to the campaign while Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, and more will appear in the game’s Zombies mode.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies will feature a gumball machine system called Pack-A-Punch, which will give out special abilities. Until now we’ve not known exactly what they will be, these have been leaked along with images and detailed descriptions via reddit (link at end of article). There appears to be 34 gumballs, this ties in with the 35 ranking levels – a new gumball is unlocked each time you leve upl.

    Treyarch has further teased the Black Ops 3 campaign after last week’s teases (Hurricane / K-Pop group)

    The first teaser is about a fashion designer who is Croatia’s Count of Couture, Narcis Dravinski.

    Ridley Ransom’s “Tidal Vortex” remained at the top of the box office for the second consecutive week, posting a $103M three day total and increasing its total haul to a staggering $309M ($471M worldwide). Sasaki International Pictures executives must be giddy about the financial windfall this third entry in the action-adventure series has generated to date.

    David Vonderhaar has tweeted that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has gone gold!

    The numbers below are the codes for various ways of displaying gold color.

    When a game goes gold it means that work has completed on the game and it is now ready to send to manufacturers for disc printing – any new fixes will have to be downloaded when the physical game is released in November. If you want a bit more info check out Tmartn’s video.

    It’s good news that the game has now been completed – we would be getting very worried if it wasn’t as release is only just over a month away.

    NO Campaign Mode for PS3 and Xbox 360 Black Ops 3 Release, Activision Confirms

    Activision have just announced that previous gen releases of Black Ops 3, the PS3 and Xbox 360, will feature no campaign mode. Only zombies and multiplayer will be possible. Black Ops 3 will likely be the last game that is available for the PS3 and Xbox 360. See Activision’s full statement below:

    Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a truly next-generation experience designed from day one to harness the full potential of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Black Ops 3 pushes the boundaries of the franchise to new levels across all modes of play on next generation hardware.

    As we announced back in June, we know that there are still fans waiting to make the switch to the newest console hardware and developers Beenox and Mercenary Technology have been working tirelessly to bring as much of the Black Ops 3 gameplay as possible to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

    The Black Ops 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will feature Multiplayer and Zombies gameplay only, not Campaign. The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware.

    Delivering the best possible gameplay experience on all platforms is always our highest priority. With that in mind, Black Ops 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 players can continue to look forward to a new experience of Black Ops 3 multiplayer, including the new momentum-based, chain-movement system, as well as the all-new Specialist class of 9 Black Ops soldiers, which fundamentally change the way players engage in combat.
