Teasers hints at Black Ops 6’s story

Microsoft had been very quiet about what they were working on since they acquired Activision Blizzard King. Microsoft announced a Xbox Games Showcase livestream set for June 9, 2024. That’s not all, in the promotional image, it shows a few blacked out logos. On May 23rd, Activision begun their viral marketing via a website that teases Black Ops 6 – codenamed Cerberus – with a website that looks like it has a TV, and a few channels. TheTruthLies.com brought a few teasers to the website that tell small stories in Black Ops 6.

Each video shown on the TheTruthLies website were also uploaded to YouTube for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Marketing. The first one is the Rushmore clip, where the “Cerberus” group, or some kind of rebel group would go to the Rushmore mountains to do their propaganda…

Next one is called “open your eyes,” where the vignette brings a few teases towards Call of Duty: Black Ops 6…

Next up, is hyping up the storyline of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 with vignette of story skits. It’s teasing 90’s storyline with President Clinton running for president, George Bush, and Saddam Hussein’s rise to power…

Activision reveals Call of Duty 2024 as Black Ops 6

Since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard King, Microsoft has been really, really quiet. Well, Microsoft announced a Xbox Games Showcase scheduled for June 9, 2024. The redacted game is obviously Call of Duty-related, because the codename for Call of Duty 2024 is “Cerberus” and was recently added to MWIII’s files as a teaser.

So, that begs the question: What is the final name of Call of Duty 2024?

    – Call of Duty: Gulf War?
    – Call of Duty: Black Ops V?
    – Call of Duty: Black Ops VI?

The answer is “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.”

Activision had begun the viral marketing for Call of Duty’s 2024 title, which is codenamed Cerberus. In these viral marketing campaigns, Activision launched TheTruthLies.com website and had launched at least 3 teasers so far. But at the same time, Activision printed a newspaper advertisement… And it reveals the final name of the game, which is officially “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.”

Hot on the heels of the newspaper leak, Activision gave the “go-ahead” to Treyarch to confirm Call of Duty’s 2024 title as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Cerberus still has a viral marketing going around it. It’s out there in the world, playing into the cold war-style propaganda. The storyline is also ironic, because we are actually in a similar storyline as the 90’s where political infighting is paramount and Americans are divided.
