  • Outriders is now a Next Gen title

Outriders is now a Next Gen title

Outriders was originally announced during E32019 with some vague information about the game. It was originally slated to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Summer 2020. People Can Fly and Square Enix released a new trailer, with more information about the game: It’s now slated to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC with no firm release date, but a release window, instead – Holiday 2020.

Outriders is a co-op shooter, and I’m not sure what kind of shooter it’s going to be… That’s why I am sticking with the fact that the game is vague at best. I think it’s best for me to pull the description from the official YouTube channel for Outriders:

Outriders is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet. With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and desert in the pursuit of a mysterious signal. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers and an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, Outriders offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter developers in the industry – People Can Fly.

  • Infinity Ward extends Season One

    Infinity Ward extends Season One

Ever since the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, players have been complaining about updates, communication, and other developer transparency. Infinity Ward did release new updates every week, but they don’t actually fix the issues that players actually have. This is because of the various developer miscommunication even after launch, and it intensified during the months of November, and December.

Infinity Ward released a major title update with Season 1, followed up by a few patches afterwards. Since then, they’ve installed small, incremental updates via the game, rather than from the console interface. The updates that come through the game-facing menus aren’t game-changing updates, while the updates that come through your console is the bigger one, where they make “quality of life” updates.

Jev of the FaZe Clan has been complaining about the game’s woes since November, and actually got his wish granted in a smaller update. Here’s Jev complaining about bugged officer challenges…

And here’s Jev seeing the update go through, and manages to complete his officer challenges…

On January 10th, Infinity Ward released a community update blog post that you can see here. There’s even a new Trello board you can see here.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 2 presumably begins February 11 or 12, depending on how they plan to switch to the new season. Nobody really knows how it will transition into Season Two.

Let me put it this way: There’s another date that was thrown around about Season One’s end – January 28th, a few days before the supposed February 3rd end-date. Sooo, yeah. I don’t know what’s going on here. Stay tuned for more information as we go along.

  • Guilty Gear Strive revealed

    Guilty Gear Strive revealed

Arc System Works surprised everyone at EVO 2019 with an announcement that Guilty Gear would be coming. Up until two days ago (November 18th), the new Guilty Gear didn’t have a name, but at Arc System Works’ own tournament series called “ArcEvo.” It’s a world tour that is doubling as a tournament series, and that’s where Guilty Gear Strive was finally revealed. New artwork, new logo, new name, and new styling. Officially, they’re staying true to their naming scheme “Guilty Gear -STRIVE-” but “Guilty Gear Strive” is just as fine. It’s just their naming style, and to be fair, they’ve been doing it since the first games, where subsequent updates were with similar naming schemes. Guilty Gear Xrd for example is “Guilty Gear -Xrd-” Along with the announcement, they also released a new trailer…
