Black Ops 2: Robert Downey Jr. ditches Iron Man suit for a jet in new trailer

Activision, obviously paddling around in an ocean full of cash following the continued success of the Call of Duty video games, have employed British Madonna ex and Lock-Stock director Guy Ritchie to direct their latest live action trailer for Black Ops 2. And he’s brought some friends along for the ride.

A star-studded cast, the trailer (called “Surprise”) sees Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., ditch his Iron Man suit in favour of a fighter jet before being blown out of the sky.

Eagle-eyed viewers will also spot YouTube weapons expert FPSRussia with a fleet of AR Drones in the video. And no, we’re not sure if “YouTube weapons expert” is a real job title.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 hits every major gaming platform on November 13 (and some rubbish ones too).

Activision also recently revealed that the stat-tracking, deathmatch-map mastering Call of Duty: Elite service is to become free for all to use following the launch Black Ops 2.

First launching in 2011 alongside Modern Warfare 3 and being offered with premium subscription features attached, Elite let users delve into the fine details of their online play styles, checking out reams of stats and heat maps based on their performance, as well as offering instant access to paid-for DLC map and content packs.

This will all become free when Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches. Maps will land as separate bundles, hitting Xbox 360 consoles first for 1,200 points, or 4,000 points for a season pass that will unlock all maps as they become available.

Those currently paying for the Elite service with Modern Warfare 3 will continue to benefit from their subscription until it runs out. Following the Black Ops 2 launch, it’s presumed that all Modern warfare 3 players too will get free access to the full suite of Elite features.

  • Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition Sold Early in Slovakia

Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition Sold Early in Slovakia

A Slovakian retailer appears to be selling Black Ops 2 (way) earlier than they are supposed too as a customer walked in and bought the Hardened Edition for PS3.

This is not a leaked or downloaded copy. This is the FULL RETAIL Hardened Edition with everything inside. Fully packaged. This early sale also means that retailers worldwide are getting stocks of Black Ops 2 now.

It’ll be interesting if any bans or suspension will be enforced since this was legitimately purchased and in all honestly is the retailers fault. If you remember, last year MW3 was sold early at K-Mart stores in the US and Microsoft threatend bans if played early (which never happened).
