Geoff Keighley is known as a host of TV shows like GameTrailers, but since E3 has been slowly shutting down in 2023, after a few cancelations in 2020, and 2022. In May 2020, Summer Game Fest was born, after seeing the writing on the wall, Geoff Keighley begun the process of replacing E3 as an event. So, for 6 years, Summer Game Fest was home to game reveals typically announced by game developers during what is known as “E3 week.” Game companies slowly but surely replaced their E3 budgets with their own Social Media, and/or YouTube posts. These are either small announcements, and some are livestreams. And that’s what Summer Game Fest has become, a summer-long event between Geoff Keighley and game companies. Keighley has a lot of industry connections and pull. So much so, that Summer Game Fest is not the only event he hosts every year… He also hosts “The Game Awards,” and has been hosting it for 11 years.
This year’s Summer Game Fest will be live on June 5, 2026 at 2pm PT, and 5pm ET. The livestream is embedded below, but you can watch the show on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter.
