After 4 years away from the limelight, Battlefield is back. The last entry in the Battlefield series was Battlefield 2042, which was released in 2021. Electronic Arts brought Vince Zampella into their next Battlefield project. On February 3. 2025 – Electronic arts announced two things before they got to show off the new Battlefield “6” gameplay: They launched “Battlefield Labs” to bring players into the feedback process of the Quality Assurance and playtesting process of developing the new “Battlefield” game. To join the “Battlefield Labs” program, you can go to their website and register. Alongside the announcement, EA announced “Battlefield Studios” which is a collaborative effort between:
- Criterion – Developed Need for Speed, and Burnout games.
- D.I.C.E. – Created and developed the Battlefield games.
- Ripple Effect – Led by Battlefield developers.
- Motive – Developed Dead Space and Star Wars: Squadrons games.
Not much is known about the new “Battlefield” game, so for now, we’re just gonna call it either Battlefield 6 or 7 unless Vince Zampella has other ideas, or how it’s going to be revealed. ‘Till then, enjoy the small snippet of gameplay for “Battlefield.”
