It has been a year since Electronic Arts hosted a EA Play livestream. Most recently, Electronic Arts revealed Battlefield 2042 and the multiplayer. Electronic Arts planned their EA Play Live event, and fans were excited. Electronic Arts hosted that livestream today. The livestream has a mix of good announcements, and sleeper announcements…
What was shown during the event? Well, Electronic Arts kicked off the event in “San Francisco, California” (Their World Headquarters is actually in Redwood Shores in Redwood City, California.)
- Knockout City: Season 2
- Apex Legends: Emergence
- Dead Space [Remake]
- Lost in Random
- Grid Legends
The biggest reveal during the EA Play 2021 presentation was Battlefield 2042’s Portal mode. The Portal mode is a mash between most Battlefield games into a single sandbox. Some maps, characters, weapons, and items will appear from Battlefield Bad Company series, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 1942, and it will be updated after launch. This sandbox will allow you to edit almost anything in the mode… Allow me to quote Battlefield’s website on how they describe it: “The creation suite includes Settings, custom modes, and a Logic Editor so you can build your own signature spin on Battlefield’s sandbox.”
Battlefield 2042 is scheduled to be released for Current Gen, and Next Gen consoles and PC on October 22, 2021.
