It’s been a while since we heard about Resident Evil Village. It was first revealed in June 2020, then a second trailer was released in September 2020. Capcom ramped up their teasing this past week about their new livestream, called “Resident Evil Showcase.” That day has come and gone. If you missed the livestream, watch the following video…
Here is a recap of the “Resident Evil Showcase” livestreamed event…
- Resident Evil Village (also known as RE8 with the roman number 8 hidden into “Village”) is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Steam on PC.
- Resident Evil Village arrives worldwide on May 7, 2021.
- Resident Evil Village has a demo called “Maiden” which is available on PlayStation 5 effectively TODAY.
- Another demo will be available on all platforms at a later date.
- Resident Evil Re:Verse was revealed.
- Resident Evil Infinite Darkness was announced before, but was expanded upon in the “Resident Evil Showcase” livestream.
- A partnership with UbiSoft was announced: Capcom and Ubisoft announced that Resident Evil characters, skins, and objects from the series will cross into The Division 2.
