Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released on October 25, 2019. Since then, Modern Warfare has been through a few updates – the most recent update was 1.09. Still as of date, we still don’t know how Infinity Ward plans to implement their Modern Warfare roadmap. Since the review of Modern Warfare, which was at update 1.06 (if I remember correctly), most of the issues have not been fixed entirely. Footsteps have been tweaked a bit, but still not “satisfied” to the point of confidently using sounds to pinpoint where your enemies are. Even Dead Silence hasn’t been fixed – it’s been tweaked a bit here and there, but not entirely fixed.
1.07’s major updates were: Battle Chatter, Footsteps, Claymore and more.
1.08’s major updates were: Spawn Tuning, Weapon Balancing, and more. (There were footsteps tuning, but nothing like we were promised.)
1.09’s major updates were: Fixes various exploits.
