Capcom has been teasing a new Resident Evil game for a while now. Capcom invited some players to test the new game out so they can understand how people like it or test out how it will be received. I honestly don’t know what their agenda was when they asked for players to test it. At the Tokyo Game Show event, Capcom finally unveiled Project Resistance in the form of a teaser trailer.
No release date has been announced, but the game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, Capcom says that Project Resistance’s Closed Beta will be exclusive to PS4, Xbox One, and PC players in Japan. Japanese players will have to sign up for the Closed Beta from September 12th, to 19th, but the actual Closed Beta will take place from October 4th, to 7th.
The best part of this announcement, is that the game is using the same engine as the Resident Evil 2 engine. Yes, the RE Engine.
