Nintendo and Microsoft had lukewarm Gamescom 2019

On August 19th, Microsoft held their own Gamescom kickoff press conference which also doubled as a Inside Xbox episode. It was a livestream that was promised by Microsoft to have “big news.” What we got, was a slew of announcements, reveals, and news relating to games being released on the platform. Mostly from indies and developers that you’ve never heard of before. Nintendo did the same thing, and even announced a game that was previously available only on Xbox One. Embedded below is a Inside Xbox Livestream. Enjoy…

The biggest announcements were:

  • Blair Witch Gameplay
  • New Xbox One Controllers
  • Gears Pop arrives August 22, 2019
  • Gears 5 Gameplay
  • More Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint gameplay
  • More Destiny 2: Shadowkeep gameplay
  • More Borderlands 3 gameplay
  • PUBG (Player Unknown BattleGrounds) DLC news
  • New Metro Exodus DLC
  • More NBA 2K20 gameplay
  • And more

I mean, more of what we already knew last month at E32019, really. Nintendo had a similar livestream, but the biggest news to come out of Indie World was the Ori games being released on Nintendo Switch eShop.
