    On August 19th, Microsoft held their own Gamescom kickoff press conference which also doubled as a Inside Xbox episode. It was a livestream that was promised by Microsoft to have “big news.” What we got, was a slew of announcements, reveals, and news relating to games being released on the platform. Mostly from indies and developers that you’ve never heard of before. Nintendo did the same thing, and even announced a game that was previously available only on Xbox One.     Gamescom is a yearly games expo that takes place in the heart of Germany. Gamescom this year will take place on August 20 through 24. However, Geoff Keighley is kicking off Gamescom on Monday, August 19, 2019. Geoff has been teasing game announcements and game reveals during his “Opening Night Live” event.
