Nintendo Switch Lite Announced and Detailed

This morning, Nintendo came out of nowhere with a major announcement. Nintendo unveiled the new “Nintendo Switch Lite.” Long rumored as “Nintendo Switch Mini.” So far, there are 3 SKU’s to launch with the system: Grey (Pictured below), Turquoise, and Yellow. Nintendo Switch Lite omits some features that were in the original Nintendo Switch to accommodate the portability of Nintendo Switch Mini. Those features are:

  • No detachable joy-cons.
  • No IR or HD rumble functions.
  • No ability to dock to TV or play in ‘tabletop’ mode.

Nintendo Switch Lite arrives worldwide on September 20, 2019 for $199.99 MSRP. All your current Nintendo Switch games will work with Nintendo Switch Lite. However, some features of some games like Switch 1-2 will not work with Nintendo Switch Lite.
