Just moments ago, Activision revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Call of Duty 2019 is simply “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.” It is a reboot to the iconic Call of Duty series. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arrives to retail shelves this October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
According to Infinity Ward, the game is a reimagining of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Captain Price is back, but the game is not set in the existing Modern Warfare trilogy. The game has a single player mode, and follows a Middle Eastern conflict involving the Russian.
The story will be split between a few of the Tier 1 Operators. And it’s not the first time that Call of Duty has split up stories between teams. In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the story followed two different teams.
The game makes use of cutting edge technology for eye candy. Ray Tracing, HDR, multi-layered shading, and more. And it looks beautiful. Likewise, the game’s operators will have cutting edge tech to aid their fight against terrorism in the rebels
The villain is a woman, from what we can glean from the trailer and synopsis of the story. The rebel leader’s name is Farrah, and she watched as her town be ravaged by the Russians. Her father tried defending her and her town from human cruelty. Before her very eyes, he was dragged and shot. The game has some stealth elements where you’re able sneak out of an area, one which includes a gas infested location. Your job is survive. Infinity Ward wants you to be uncomfortable, because the story is stressful, dramatic, and tense.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Blizzard’s Battle.net service will arrive on October 25, 2019.
