    In 1996, Valve Corporation was formed in Washington, by former Microsoft employees. Their debut game was a game that went on to become a breakout smash hit, Half-Life. Since then, Valve was releasing more, and more smash hits. In 2003, Valve released Steam and became the defacto store for PC gamers worldwide. In 2010, Valve started releasing hardware: Steam Machine, Steam Link, HTC Vive, and Valve Index VR devices.
