No Dead Silence in Advanced Warfare

So it looks like there will be no Dead Silence in Advanced Warfare according to our source who is playing the game at the moment.

This will make a massive difference to competitive play and publics.

Expect headset sales to go through the roof come November 3rd!

omg thats crazy. i hate it that people can just ADS a window and hear me coming a mile away )from behind) with amplify or sitrep pro. at least we are all on the same playing field. i will have to just adjust my play style i guess.

i have not heard my own footsteps in a cod game since MW3 because i always have dead silence. this will be like switching back to rumbles on or default controls.

Actually, there are some gadgets that counter that. In BO2, Millimeter Scanner brings out the campers faster than you can say "WTF? Where is he?"

I wonder if it's because it'll be implemented standard? As in, your soldier will just not make noise, as he shouldn't. I don't know any soldier who would actively be stomping around like an elephant, like they do without Dead Silence on. It seems more real that you should be naturally silent, or as silent as you can be, in a battle situation. Either way, like someone else said, at least it'll free up a perk spot!

I have no problem with this. In games like counter strike your always using your ears. A reload, swapping your weapon even zooming in makes sounds that you can hear. Train your hearing amd you will be fine

I was never one for dead silence or ninja pro. It was, in my opinion, one of the weakest character perks. This kind of sucks now as everyone will be on the same playing field and make me work harder haha. I really don't know why they'd take it though, I mean it's the character customizations that make the game fun. They allow us all to play into a different strategy based upon more than just our primary weapons. I'm excited to see what perks they will have when the game is released.

Dead Silence in other games made your footsteps quiet. So, this means you can't be stealthy.
