Hi! My name is Sylvie! ...however, if you were around maybe uhh twenty years ago you would know me by a different name: Sean Fury.

If you do, trust me, that person has been gone for a long time- there is only Sylvie now. :3

I'm a writer (fiction and nonfiction), artist (traditional pencil/paper and painting and various crafts), musician (guitar and FL studio, but I want to learn drums), among other hyperfixations I have.

To answer your thread title, no. From what I have gathered, it appears that this is what has become of Wire Forums, aka Game Wire Forums, AKA Game Over Online, which was originally started by Rob Webster (Last used s/n on here was Sabreydoo, I believe he was also known as Sabrewolf).

It's amazing after all these years the original database and accounts are still intact. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered posting this lol. I just happened upon this because I was looking up information on an old anime, and (ironically enough) came across an old conversation between you and I in a former life. Then I was looking around and came across this post and thought I would comment.

Anyways as for VideoGameChat, hard to say what happened to it. I know it changed some hands as well though. Jesse Smith seems to have pretty much disappeared, which is a shame. I always wondered how he was doing.

I am glad to see you are doing well.

Not that I know of. I just meant I looked through the archive of threads this place still has, and that was the last username I saw for him. I used to be friends with his brother James on Facebook, but to be honest, I lost track of the both of them years ago.

Awww well thanks for the heads up regardless!!! Maybe I'll stumble across some familiar faces, tho few would recognize me now >>

Threads like this is the reason why I bought WireForums.

Y'all need to tell me what I need to do to make this the talk of the town, pretty please?

Oh god, I'm patting myself on the back.

I - I was not expecting the conversation here. I thought it was gonna be a regular ol' hi, welcome.. but instead old members came back and responded.

What can I do to get more of this??

Haha, I honestly think a lot of people will be chasing the nostalgia and simplicity of forums like this with the advent of modern social media being so toxic and run by corporations. Places like this are like the oasis of the internet!

Hey Sylvie, I remember you for sure. Pull up a chair, stay a while.

Places like this would definitely become the oasis of the Internet if we could get enough of the old crew back to have some genuine discussions.
