Hello, everyone. I am here to announce that DestroyRepeat has been upgraded to xenForo 2.3.
As you load the site, you will now be greeted with a light variant of the site. More on that in a second.

Now, please do not freak out. There is a Dark variant, and it's what the site originally was...

In xenForo 2.3, these are known as skin variations. How it works now is that the skin correlates to your OS, so under variations, it's known as "system." If your PC is currently on light mode, it will correspond to that variant via the website/forum. If the PC is recognized as "Dark," that's what it will correspond to. If you don't like this, there are two ways to change this: Go all the way down to the bottom of the screen, and you'll find this button/popup...

It will bring 3 options: "System," "Light," and "Dark." Pick your poison. This will run until the duration of your login. So, if you go back there and change it to another variation, that's what will persist. Hold on, there's another way: Go to your preferences and select your skin/variation, and you're good to go. Next time you log in, this is what will persist. If you change it in the footer as shown above, that too will persist, so don't touch anything. If you log out, this whole thing resets. So, when you log out, it will go back to default, or "system."

What's changed?
There's not much "change" in the front-end, but there is a lot going on. xenForo 2.3 has been in beta since March 19, 2023. I've been testing the software on the backend for a while now, to troubleshoot any problems before launch.
You will not technically see changes on the frontend like I said. Most of it is new backend features.
- XF2.3 brings dark and light skins. Previously, this was done by an outdated way of handling skins. (Parent Skin > Child Skin) So, if you bought a skin, that's the skin. That's it. Some skin designers are now packaging the same skins for the same class. For example, for many years, we've been using "Core" by PixelExit. If I wanted to buy a Dark Skin, that's it. If I wanted to buy a Light Skin, that's it. No longer the case; in Core's example, if you bought Core Dark, you also got Core Light. [PixelExit Post]
- XF2.3 brings speed improvements. This is the biggest frontend feature. You may have noticed a bump in speed so far. In the future, we can expect this to get even better as requirements start to move up. Don't worry about that, let me worry about that.
- XF2.3 allows for image resizing. This is more or less minor in the scheme of things. This will help some people attach images easier.
- XF2.3 has trending content. This is more or less minor in the scheme of things. This will highlight popular content on the site.
- XF2.3 brings Featured Content forward as a core feature of xenForo. This is more or less minor in the scheme of things, but for me, this is a feature that has been sorely been missing from CODForums for a while now. A plugin developer had developed a featured thread plugin, and I purchased it, many years ago. For some reason, he stopped development of the plugin. Many plugin developers stepped up to the plate to try and replace it. Many of the implementations were not up to par. Going forward, this is now a part the payment if you sponsor the site. Previously, during the removal of Featured Threads, I used sticky threads to bring attention for sponsors.
