I love Nintendo, but they have made decisions that baffle me.
I love Video Games. Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was my passion, my first foray into gaming. I loved some of the games that NES brough, like Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man, Zelda, etc. The progression of the Nintendo brand has gone through ups and downs. During Super NES, I was more of a Genesis guy, until my father sold my system and games. Without my consent.
I like the Super NES, but there are some things I don't like. Like the censorship. Mortal Kombat was the biggest example of a censored game. They corrected it with Mortal Kombat II, but Nintendo has this ungodly amount of obsession with "Family Friendly" content. Killer Instinct was released, but home ports on SNES was censored. Genesis got the best ports despite the power of Genesis.
Nintendo 64 was a great console, but it sold less units thanks to the "oopps" mistake of SNES' censorship.
Today, Nintendo Switch got the best of both worlds, and went on to sell 100+ Million units worldwide...
