Do you play the game which originally was a movie? Do you enjoy playing the game that was first released as a movie. I have never played a game which was first released as a movie.

I have played the Transformer games in the past, but I really don't care for games based off of a movie. Because they are never anything like the movie. And I feel that it's best to play movie games before you watch the movie. Because once you watch the movie you're going to see what a hack job they did in the game.

Usually I play games that are based on movies, but classic ones like Star Wars, Star Trek or Resident Evil, so of course, if I'm playing the game is because I'm fan of the movie, so everything on the game will remind me of some movie moments. I get my opinion for movies and games very separated, never expect the game to be exactly like the movie or viceversa. For me, games based on movies is like to get a little more of that movie you really enjoyed.

Yeah. Played a couple before when I was a kid. Played some Batman games or Tomb Raiders or DC games etc. You name it, I probably have played it. Lol. But I am most looking forward for the Witcher movie which will be based on the game itself. Stoked for that. Hope they don't fail just like what they did to Death Note.

I played Angry birds before they made movie. I also played Resident Evil and Silent hill for which they made movie later. So it depends on what type of games you play. For example, house of dead and left 4 dead were good games before turning into TV series. So I guess some games to movie and movie to games transition is often good. And at the end it depends on how good game plot and experience is for the user.

I played Warcraft before they made it into the CG rich adaptation. It was not the greatest movie but it was not that bad either. Hopefully, we will see a sequel coming out in the near future.

Hey! didn't know about this... is going to be pretty interesting to see Geralt of Rivia on the big screen. Also, who will be playing the character? I'm just wondering how are they going to make the plot for it. That game is huge, a movie is going to be super extended. Let's hope they do a good job, thanks for the info.

Not sure who will be playing Geralt but one thing is for sure, it's happening! Here is the link https://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-witcher-movie-coming-in-2017-from-the-mummy-pr/1100-6432017/.

I just hope it won't fail though. I mean, hoping that it would exceed my expectation. :p

I have played a few games that were a movie as well, and some of these were Badman, Spiderman, and Resident Evil on my mobile phone when I was out of my city and had no access to my PC and my other games.
I enjoyed a lot playing it, but these games are mostly for children and I got bored very fast!

I love playing video games! I’ve played a few games which are based on the movies. These games include, The Amazing Spider-Man, Batman series, The Incredible Hulk, Lord of the Rings, X-Men, and The Prince of Persia. Batman: Arkham City is one of my favorites. Batman is the best action-adventure game ever made in my opinion. The game has a lot of similarities to the movie such as the gadgets, the move set, etc. Most of all, the story is so amazing.

The games that I have played that were originally movies are: Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Spiderman, Batman, Lord of the Rings, The Godfather, ... there are probably way more but those are the first ones that I can think of.

I like the adapted movies into games and vice versa. There are also plenty of games that are adapted from the books and that turn out to be high-quality and great to play. I guess it definitely depends on the developers and how much effort they put into the production. There are definitely games that don't live up to the movies.

I've played a lot of these games.. Indiana Jones, Spiderman, x-men, batman and so on. All I can tell you is tie-in games, at least I think that's what they're called, will usually be bad. The only exceptions were the Spiderman games and one x men game which had wolverine as the main character, I think x men the origins was its name. The rest is garbage and I didn't really like them. But this is just my opinion :)

I have never played X men and indiana jones games. I think I got into those movies directly through screen and the movies on TV. I guess some concepts off games and the comics are very much interesting to get into the screen. I think I won't be surprised if they pick some Android games like Spirits, Cut the rope etc for the movie or say some plot with the story. Those surely look good to turn into movies or animation.

As far as I remember, the only movie-games I've ever played were the first two Transformers games to hit the PlayStation 2. The first one was great and I would even say pretty ahead of it's time in terms of the huge worlds and awesome animations. There was a lot to do and finishing that game took a good few hours. The second instalment in the franchise was a little less impressive on the world front, as it was a lot more linear and didn't have open worlds for you to explore, but definitely bumped it up in the graphics department. It was one of the better looking PS2 games to ever exist.

But other than that? Doubt it. My sister once bought Narnia and played that on PS2 but I never joined in as it was pretty "meh" by the looks of it.

I played Tomb Raider before it became a movie. I really love the game play but, I also loved Angelina Jolie's version of Tomb Raider. I think she really did justice to the character.

I played the Lord of the Rings when it became a game and I liked it. I also played Ironman 3 after the movie was released and I enjoyed the small details in the game that is related to the movie. I guess I don't mind playing the games I liked as a movie originally. of course you wouldn't expect the greatness of the movie in a game. When you turn it around, the Warcraft movie is awesome from the game.

I have to agree most of the movie games are geared for children because that's what the movie is geared for. And like you said some of them are fun but they get boring very fast. And I have also played a lot more really bad movie games then good, so I tend to stay away from them.
