On a few sites, pre orders have been popping up for Fifa 13 on the PS Vita. Unfortunately no release date or screenshots have been put up, just a price and cover art have been handed over. Who here is getting this game?

I think that may be the european box art considering he plays for barcelona. I think NA and SA could possibly have varying box art.

I don't think that is neccessarily the final box art.
yeah, every year they put messi on the pre order case but the final design varies around the world, but this year in the uk i would imagine it would be rooney and some kinda young english star, possibly oxlade chamberlin, wallcott or young :)

I think the reason why they're using Messi on the temporary box art is because he currently considered the greatest player around and is so well known.

I always thought ronaldo was. I just heard this from my sister. she has been playing soccer since she was 5 and all I do is watch games when she watcheds them or plays them. I know the rules though :)

No, Messi is considered the best player now. Cristiano Ronaldo is also considered to be very good.

I'm pretty sure that I read on either Gamestop or Amazon that it was releasing on 9/28 in NA with the console versions. Of course the only thing that I want to know has not been answered yet. Will it have the FIFA 13 gameplay engine with the first touch and set piece tweaks? If that is a yes than it is a day one purchase for me.....if not than no go.

I would be beyond shocked if Clint Dempsey is not on the North American cover.

Seen this in GAME a couple months ago along with AC. Don't think I'll get it on release, but I might pick it up if it's on sale or just later on.

For me; this is technically the most interesting game of the year for vita due to it being the 2nd incarnation of a "day one" title. We get to see what progress will have been made in the 6-12months since the original game was released. If they show there is still more potential left in vita for sequels, then, I think it will sell. Especially those who missed out on the 1st game, will be more likely to part cash for a fully up-to-date new game.

If it becomes just a "stats update", then, I'll give it a miss. If they solve the slow-down problems I'll look again.

Hmm I'm a bit sceptical with this one. I mean FIFA Football was a bit disappointing for me, they used fifa 11 engine and the comments used were too outdated (i.e. making "actual" statements as we're in 2010, they were not reffering to them as past but as present, so yeah a bit outdated lol) and glitched (i.e. calling Real Madrid to SL Benfica on throw ins) and I don't thing they'll be using fifa 13 engine for the Vita version which leads me a step back before getting it.

I'm not giving up already just not, so far, conviced, will have to wait.

Totally agree and exactly what I was thinking. This next Fifa will/should showcase what the Vita can do as it is a second generation game. The FIFA devs have had some time to tweak and optimize their game for the Vita now. If they can eek out some more performance, the great graphics, and most importantly a 1-to-1 conversion of the console experience it would seem that they Vita has a bright future. On the other hand if they did not really make any more improvements on top of what we got out of the launch game... we may see more of that.
