Comic Con 2023 brings new Mortal Kombat 1 information

On May 1, 2023 – NetherRealm released a second 30th Anniversary video, but is titled as “Thank you from NetherRealm.” In this collection of “thank you” messages, the teams working with NetherRealm said their thank yous, and followed up with a little smidge of a teaser. On May 10, 2023 – the official Mortal Kombat YouTube channel uploaded a teaser trailer for Mortal Kombat 12. Warner Bros.’ C.E.O. said in a Investor Call that “Mortal Kombat 12 is being released this year.” I’m paraphrasing it, but that’s the jist of what he said. On May 17, 2023 – NetherRealm Studios released a new teaser trailer. Soon after that, NetherRealm Studios officially released the official announce trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, not “Mortal Kombat 12.” Mortal Kombat 1 is a complete reboot of the franchise, a “New Era,” no pun intended. Ed Boon is adamant that Mortal Kombat 1 has nothing to do with Mortal Kombat 11, but Mortal Kombat 1 takes place after the events of Mortal Kombat 11. Ed Boon and NetherRealm announced that Kombat Kast would be returning. That happened on July 6, 2023 – NetherRealm revealed more than Scorpion, and Johnny Cage.

During Comic Con 2023, NetherRealm released a new trailer named “Umgadi.” It brings new characters, new locations, and new story information…

NetherRealm also released a new trailer that is focused around the first Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack. The first Kombat Pack will feature Omni-man, Quan Chi, PeaceMaker, Ermac, Homelander, and Takeda. If you purchase the Premium Edition for Mortal Kombat 1, you get the aforementioned Kombat Pack, Early Access to Mortal Kombat 1, Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage, 5 new Kameo Characters, and 1 week early access to DLC characters.

Pre-Order Mortal Kombat 1 and receive Shang Tsung, and access to the closed beta for Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19, 2023.
