Update: Nintendo of Canada has officially announced the console, with more info being shared on the official Nintendo of Canada site.
The Wii Mini console will be priced at $99.99 and will contain just the console and the Wii MotionPlus controller with nunchuk. The usual set of A/V connector, power adapter, and sensor bar will also be included. The main difference with this new mini Wii version is the the Wii Mini won’t be able to connect online and doesn’t support Gamecube discs.
Rumors of a newly designed Wii have been circulating the internet lately, a design that would feature a more smaller sized Wii. Well, it turns out that those rumors are indeed true.
Revealed by the Best Buy Canada site, Nintendo will be releasing the Wii Mini on December 7. As the name suggest, this particular Wii will be small in size. As you can tell from the picture, the console will be square and looks to be slightly taller than a regular Wii remote. The color of the console is red and black, and will come with a red Wii remote.
Nothing found on the site in terms of what the Wii Mini will cost. And based on the picture, you can’t tell if the console will come bundled with any Wii game. December 7 isn’t that far off, so I’m sure Nintendo will be making an official announcement of the Wii Mini soon.
