Nintendo of Korea’s eShop To Sell English And Japanese Titles

Nintendo is continuing to increase their presence in South Korea. For the 3DS, several games have been localized by Nintendo of Korea themselves. Those titles being Resident Evil: Revelations and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Future titles like New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, along with a couple others, are also planned for a Korean localization.

The interesting thing, though, that Nintendo of Korea is doing is the inclusion of import titles on the 3DS eShop. Not all titles will become localized and that can leave the library of games available a bit thin. So Nintendo of Korea plans to remedy that by offering English and Japanese titles on the eShop, thus turning the Korea eShop into a digital import store. The imports will be priced at 33,000 won ($30).
